Well, let me tell you!
My name is Lisa Marie Harbin! I grew up in Redding, CA, and at the moment I still reside here. I am planning on moving somewhere else though, maybe San Francisco or somehwere up north like Seattle or Portland. I love to travel, and I hope one day to be able to say I went to Europe and got to see exciting things there. I'm twenty-two years old, so I'm guessing I have some time left, although we can never be certain what time God has alloted to us. I'm short, only 5'2" but I don't let that stop me. I try to be as vivacious as possible and live life to the fullest I can.
I'm 50% Puerto Rican, but of course I only speak rudementary Spanish. That's also one of the things I want to work on. I want to learn languages. I always hear of these people that are multi-lingual and that just seems so exciting. I'd love to learn everything that I can and apply it to my life, whether it's speaking Spanish or Japanese!
I'm currently attending Shasta College. It's nothing fancy, but it's the only way I'm going to be able to get somewhere. Ideally, I'd love to teach English or run my own business. Both are pretty appealing, although I've noticed that business owners never truly have enough time with their families. Family is so important I'd rather get paid less and reap more benefits! My ideal goal would be to transfer to UC Berkeley or somewhere in Hawaii! Who doesn't want to go to Hawaii?
I love coffee. My favorite type is an over-ice white mocha with nonfat milk and no whip! But of course, that's only when I binge $3.95 and go to Starbucks. My cheaper coffee of choice is the Starbuck's Brew (that I make at home) Pike's Place Roast. I mix a little bit of Sugar-Free Coffeemate French Vanilla creamer and I'm good to go. My other beverage of choice would have to be Pepsi... with water trailing at the end, which probably is a bad place for it to be.
I am currently single, but not really looking for someone. If I find him, then that's wonderful and I can't wait, but if I don't I'm not that worried about it. I've learned to be content with just me, and I think that is super important. One of the wonderful quotes I've heard about dating is "If you can't be happy and love yourself, how can anyone else be happy with you or love you?" I believe that. I believe that it's important to love myself.
I have a dog named Dante. He really is more like my baby. He's a dauschaund and quite fat. :( He got run over by a car when he was two-years old. Thankfully, he lived, but had to have multiple surgeries to make it that way. He has scars from them, but he can still walk and jump and beg with the best of them. He's probably the greatest thing that's ever happened to me, and I love him desperately. He's there for me when I need love and when I need someone to play with. I love him dearly, and I don't know what I'd do if God hadn't brought him into my life.
I love music and books. The song playing right now is "If No One Will Listen" by Kelly Clarkson, and while I love her, I listen to so many other amazing artists, such as: P!nk, Delta Goodrem, Breaking Benjamin, Flyleaf, All American Rejects, David Cook, Group 1 Crew, Taylor Swift, Stephanie Smith, Addison Road, Barlow Girl, Jeremy Camp, Avril Lavigne, Igor Stravinsky, Mozart, Skillet, and so so many more amazing artists. I read everything I can get my hands on, although I prefer fantasy books to others! I won't begin to name all the wonderful authors, but I will say that Stephanie Meyer, Sara Douglass, and Jacqueline Carey are absolutely brilliant in their own rights and I love them to pieces.
Well, now that my novella is complete I hope you have a little more understanding of me! I'd love to hear more about you! Feel free to e-mail me or leave me a message anytime!
